This tender kale is delicate and doesn't need to be massaged like other varieties like Lacinto or Black Magic. It is medium height and purple stemmed with deeply lobed leaves. It grows very well in dry areas with cold winters and hot summers.

These seeds are easy to plant and can be sown directly in the ground or in containers. Simply plant the seeds 1/4 inch deep and space them 8-12 inches apart, and in no time, you'll have beautiful, dark green leaves ready for harvest. Red Russian Kale is a cold-hardy and adaptable plant, making it suitable for growing in both spring and fall. Once mature, the leaves can be harvested and enjoyed in salads, smoothies, sautéed with garlic, or even baked into kale chips for a crispy and nutritious snack.
